Akanksha Education Fund supports education initiatives for low-income communities in India. So far, we have mainly done this by making grants to The Akanksha Foundation (TAF), who runs 26 public private partnership schools in Mumbai, Pune, and Nagpur and serves 14,000 students and 5,100 alumni.

Three of our students, after graduating from Akanksha schools, attended United World College campuses for 11th and 12th grades. These students have secured scholarships to attend US universities this year:
- Om Gaikwad, Freshman at St. Olaf College, Minnesota
- Rushikesh Pawar, Freshman at St. Olaf College, Minnesota
- Simran Sayyed, Freshman at Wartburg College, Iowa
Additionally, Ranu Sathar, a current Akanksha high school student from Mumbai, has been awarded a scholarship to study abroad in the US under the YES program. She is based in Missouri with a host family organized by the program.
There are many ways to support these students! You can help by:
- Being a remote host family
- Volunteering as a mentor
- Offering college and career guidance
- Providing in-kind support
