MEET OUR STUDENTS

Akanksha students are the best testaments of our work and philosophy. These inspiring students demonstrate the life-changing impact of a high-quality education. Meet some of India’s future leaders and our rising stars.

Yashodhara Sherkar, a former student of the KCTVN Akanksha school in Pune, represents India in national and international cycling championships. She started her journey with Akanksha in Grade 5. Akanksha encouraged her to compete in a cycling competition in grade 10, and since then there has been no looking back. She clinched the bronze medal in her international cycling debut at the 13th South Asian Games held in Nepal in 2019 despite an injury on her way to the finish line.

Shruti Belitkar, a student from the Acharya Vinobha Bhave School in Pune, is studying Psychology on full scholarship at Earlham College in Indiana. Akanksha paved the path to her success: “My Akanksha journey started when I was in the 9th Grade. It has definitely been a key part to shape me as a person. I have transformed as an individual. I have learnt to have integrity, confidence and be self-aware. My Akanksha teachers always supported me in taking decisions for my goals. My teachers also made me realize the importance of education.” Shruti aspires to be a psychiatrist working in rehabilitation centers in India where she hopes to improve awareness and approaches towards mental health.
